We are looking to hire a junior web designer to work on WordPress website development and content population. The core of our business is the designing and development of custom WordPress child themes and their population with content provided by clients.

You will be working under a senior frontend developer and direct one to one training will be provided. Our agency is based outside London and serves predominantly English clients, so strong English skills are required. Advanced technical skills are not required but you must be able to demonstrate a basic working understanding of HTML and CSS. Basic photoshop skills are useful but tasks will likely only requires cutting and resizing, so that can be taught. A positive and proactive attitude to learning and problem solving is more desirable than experience.

This job can be partly performed remotely. Once you have proved that you can do tasks correctly and to our required standard without supervision, you will not be required to be in the office for those tasks. However because of the training required the first few months will need to be done alongside the senior frontend developer who is currently based in an office in Da Nang.

Tasks will include:

• The development of websites from psd artwork
• Editing and updating existing WordPress sites
• Reading, fulfilling and replying to client requests via email
• Cutting, sizing and creating visual assets in photoshop
• Creating visual assets of sites we have made to populate our portfolio

Required skills:

• Strong English Language skill for both spoken and reading
• A basic understanding of HTML & CSS
• A basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop or GIMP

Desirable but not essentials skills

• A basic understanding of PHP, MySQL and WordPress
• Marketing experience

Salary:

There will be basic rate of 20m dong / month with additional project completion and personal development bonuses that in a good month should net an approximate extra 15m dong.
