Description

We build BPA a unique website with many complicated features. We built our own property system featuring pins on map, search by distance, filter by variables, a scrollspy section menu helper, and the website is built in both English and Spanish.

However, because we didn’t want to take the performance hit from Google Translate or a third party translation plugin we built our own translation system. There are English and Spanish versions of basic content like pages, but common elements and properties load in both languages and display the selected language. Translations can be entered manually but to make volume work easy we integrated the site with ChatGPT so that at the touch of a button the content is translated.

Google maps will return the latitude and longitude of your search and it will order the database of properties by distance.

We found that quality, size and layout of property images varied. So we designed the header of the property single page to display a height based carousel that supports multiple formats.

Property Template

Pages having sperate English and Spanish versions but properties and property feeds have only one version that contains both English and Spanish content and displays the relevant one. Because this creates a large translate admin job we have integrated the website with AI that at the press of a button will translate English into Spanish.

Easy to use property backend with a button that will translate the English on that page into Spanish.

Having lots of links in the footer to region specific pages is good for SEO but bad for layout. So on mobile we truncate that large list into accordions. Keeping the mobile view neat and tidy.
